    Dr. Dan Holtzclaw is a native Texan, raised in Humble and Midland, Texas. After attending Texas A&M University, he graduated with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy.

    While in the Navy, Dr. Holtzclaw attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander during 12 years of service at duty stations all over the world. During this time, Dr. Holtzclaw completed a one-year Hosptial General Practice Residency (GPR) at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia and an additional 3-year residency in Periodontics at the National Naval Medical Center (“The President’s Hospital”) in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Holtzclaw was awarded nearly a dozen prestigious service medals and finished his naval career as the Periodontist for the world famous US Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team.

    Dr. Holtzclaw is board certified by both the American Academy of Periodontology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is the most highly published dentist in Austin with over 50 peer reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters in print. He is a highly sought educator by many dental implant companies and has provided over 100 lectures worldwide. Dr. Holtzclaw has been named a Leader in Continuing Dental Education by Dentistry Today Magazine for 12 consecutive years (2007-2018). Less than 1% of dentists nationwide have received this honor. Dr. Holtzclaw is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Implant & Advanced Clinical Dentistry , one of the world’s largest and most prestigious dental journals.

    A longtime resident of Central and South Texas, Dr. Juan Gonzalez is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who practices with an emphasis on immediately restored dental implants and bone grafting surgery.

    After receiving his Dental Degree, Dr. Gonzalez completed a one-year Hospital Based General Practice Residency (GPR) and was then commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army. In 12 years of Active Duty Army service, Dr. Gonzalez attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During this time, Dr. Gonzalez completed a 4 year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and served as the Brigade Dental Surgeon for the 4th Infantry Division. Dr. Gonzalez later served as the Department Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Darnall Army Medical Center. Dr. Gonzalez was awarded nearly a dozen prestigious service medals and finished his Army career as the Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the Post-Graduate AEGD Residency at Fort Hood, Texas.

    Dr. Gonzalez is board certified by both the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is one of the most highly published dentists in Austin with multiple peer reviewed journal articles on dental implant related surgery in print.     After receiving his Dental Degree, Dr. Malave was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army. In 14 years of Active Duty Service, Dr. Malave achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During this time, Dr. Malave completed a one year Hospital General Practice Residency at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and an additional 4 year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Malave was appointed as Chief Oral Surgeon at Winn Army Hospital in Fort Stewart, Georgia and later served as Vice Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio for many years. Dr. Malave received over a dozen awards and medals during in his army career including the prestigious US Army Meritorious Service Medal.

    Dr. Malave is board certified by both the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a certified instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
